Brown Bags aren’t just for Lunch Anymore

That’s right, brown paper bags aren’t just for lunch anymore! They can be used for an awesome game to play with your students. The game is Bite the Bag and here is how it works.

Supplies needed:

- a few paper bags

- scissors

Select a number of students, I usually pick up to ten for this game, and have them stand in a line. Place on the floor a paper bag. It can be a shopping bag or a lunch bag, either will work fine. The goal is to pick up the bag with their mouths without touching the ground with their hands, elbows, or knees. If a person fails to pick up the bag, they are out. For each round have a bag ready that you have cut shorter. At the end you might have some students trying to pick up what is basically a paper off the floor.

This skit can be very entertaining and competitive for everyone. I would add some fun, fast paced music behind it and get the crowd cheering for everyone. It has been a real winner every time we’ve done it.
